Suzanne Ingelbrecht

Suzanne is an Australian author, playwright, director and performance-maker. She has been entertaining others since the tender age of nine when she wrote a play to cheer up her classmates during their sewing lessons…

Always the drama queen, Suzanne has enjoyed honing her skills and techniques in dramatic storytelling through her plays and now loves to pass thispassion on to the next generations of storytellers and fabulous imaginers of wonder.
As well as her plays, she has penned the 'Tumblagooda Trilogy' for adventurous eight-to-twelve-year-olds (as well as all those who like to think they have never really grown up). The books in the series, Tumblagooda: The story of a strange lost thing; Tumblagooda: The story of a strange missing thing; and Tumblagooda: The story of a strange found thing are available through Dragonfly Publishing and across Australia in bookstores. You can read a fabulous Q&A with Children’s Book Council of Australia reviewer, Maura Pierlot, here:

And watch out — Suzanne and Tumblagooda will be coming to a school, festival or library near you very soon to thrill you and fill you with tall tales and rambunctious rabble rousing!
