MONTHLY 1:1 COACHING

Dragonfly Publishing’s Self-Publishing Coaching Programme is a Zoom-based coaching service launching in January 2027 designed to guide authors through the major stages of self-publishing while enabling them to complete the practical work themselves.

Each monthly 2-hour Zoom session focuses on the next publishing stage in the pathway, demonstrates the relevant processes, answers questions, and sets clear actions for the month ahead.

PREREQUESITES

  • Authors must be Australian-based.

  • Access to computer or laptop with a webcam and microphone suitable for Zoom coaching.

  • A polished and completed manuscript available electronically. This programme is for non-illustrated books; illustrated books are outside the scope of the standard pathway.

  • A good level of IT confidence, particularly with Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Word, and applications such as Canva, Instagram and Facebook.

  • A practical, have-a-go attitude and willingness to complete tasks independently between coaching sessions.

HOW IT WORKS

  • One individual Zoom coaching session of approximately two hours each month.

  • The author remains responsible for completing the work between sessions; the coach provides guidance, demonstrations, feedback and troubleshooting.

  • Each session ends with a practical action plan so the author knows what needs to be completed before the next session.

  • The pace can be adjusted where a particular publishing stage takes longer than expected, while keeping the overall sequence of the Dragonfly Publishing process.

  • The first session costs $150. Each monthly session thereafter costs $100 (inc GST). Payments must be made in advance.

Dragonfly Publishing acknowledges the Wadjak people of the Noongar nation as the traditional custodians of the land where we work.

We offer our respects to Elders past, present and emerging.
